Josephine Akia


Josephine is a Social scientist by profession and practice with Master of Development Studies and Master of Science degree in Agroecology from Uganda Martyrs University, a degree in Development Studies from Mbarara University of Science and Technology and a Post Graduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management from Uganda Management Institute. She has over 12 years of practical work hands-on experience, seven (7) of which have been at senior management level. She has also attained additional certified trainings in the areas of; gender justice, Human rights programming, strategic planning, advocacy, digital influencing, videography, communications, policy analysis, planning and monitoring, budget advocacy, out impact orientation, result based management, participatory monitoring and evaluation, research and organizational leadership and development.


Joan Anyuru Adong


Joan Anyuru Adong holds a BA, Library and Information Science (Hons) from Makerere University and has over 4 years of experience in socio economic research, information management, workshop and training management plus communication management. She has completed research and management tasks for civil society organisations, universities and private companies. These include but not limited to; Uganda Episcopal Conference, Uganda Martyrs University, Caritas Uganda, PELUM Uganda, Lutheran World Federation (LWF), Verizon development Link, Nonner Group Ltd, Communication Research and Innovations, KULIKA Uganda, Parliament of Uganda, National Association of Women Organisation In Uganda (NAWOU), Uganda Prisons Service and Rodell Consults.

She is a self-motivated individual who takes deadlines seriously and able to work with minimal supervision and works comfortably under pressure and always passionate to contribute to the success of a team. Her career objective is; “To contribute positively to the growth of people and society by utilising her skills and resources meaningfully to cause change”

Luyimbazi Tonnie Stieve.


Luyimbazi Tonnie Stieve is a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist, Agricultural Economist and Agro-ecologist. He holds a Master’s of Science in M&E, Msc in Agro-ecology, Bsc Agricultural Economics and various certified professional trainings.

Tonnie has over 10 years’ experience working with reputable Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) including World Vision-Uganda, Caritas Uganda and many others including Community Based Organizations. He has also worked with the Private sector and Government of Uganda under Ministry of Gender Labour and Social Development as the M&E Manager for the Youth Livelihood Programme. He has worked with Boards of reputable organizations and partners in Uganda including the Uganda Country Coordinating Mechanism (UCCM) for the Global Fund as the Oversight Officer.

He is also an active member of the Uganda Evaluation Association (UEA), which is a National network of M&E professionals in Uganda.


Tonnie is the managing partner at Verizon Development Link and has led teams as an M&E expert on various assignments including; Strategic Planning, Organizational Capacity Development and trainings, project planning and management, Communication for development using the Participatory Development Communication approaches, project development cycle, Needs Assessments, Baseline surveys, Impact Evaluations especially in the agricultural sector and social development sector in Uganda. He is a certified facilitator in Value Chain Development as an approach to pro-poor development with vast experience in facilitating development of functional value chains and market access for smallholder farmers.
